Banking

Every account has its own listing in the main account list. Within the Accounts section for an account is a Transactions view and a Overview view. The Transactions view is where you are able to record and edit transactions. For investment accounts there is an additional Holdings view for monitoring the account's investment holdings. Review the screenshots and info below to learn more about the options available in accounts section.

Note Note: There's also the Transactions section located towards the top of the main account list that allows access to all transactions from all accounts.

Transactions view

The Transactions view for an account is where all of the account's transactions can be found. View transactions in a table list view or in a calendar view. Adjust the parameters of the transactions shown using the settings popover. Reference additional balance information in the balance info popover.

Tip Tip: When viewing transactions in the table list view, you can control the fields shown for transactions by adjusting the optional columns. For example, you can add the "Memo" or "Check #" columns in order to view and edit the memos and check numbers for transactions. Adjust the optional columns for a table by using the program's View → Columns menu or by Control-clicking on an uneditable area of the table.

Balance info popover:

View additional balance information by placing the mouse cursor over the Info Button button on the right of the account's name and balance at the top or by pressing Command-B.

Transaction settings popover:

Click the Settings Button button above the transactions area to show the settings that control the transactions shown.

Transaction selection info:

When multiple transactions are selected the information shown above the transactions area changes to show the number of transactions selected and a total for the selected transactions.

The Overview view for an account is where the account's settings can be viewed and edited.

Holdings view

The Holdings view is where investment holdings can be monitored for the account. Information for holdings across all accounts can be monitored in the Portfolio - Holdings section.

Tip Tip: When viewing securities in the account's Holdings section, you can add or remove various optional columns. For example, you can add the "As of Date" column in order to view the last time the price was set for the securities. Adjust the optional columns for a table by using the program's View → Columns menu or by Control-clicking on an uneditable area of the table.

Tip Tip: Control-click on a graph of historical prices to be shown a menu with options for changing the date range of historical prices and the "Show Adjusted Close Prices" option that controls if adjusted close or close prices are displayed.
