Merge transactions

Merge duplicate transactions when needed to combine their values. For example, if you both manually record and download transactions and a pair of transactions are not automatically matched and merged by the program's duplicate transactions check then you can select to merge them to combine the manually entered info and the financial institution's info (the "FI" values). Merge transactions in the Transactions section or within an account's Transactions section.

Merge two transactions:

  1. Select the two same amount transactions you want to merge.
  2. Use the program's Transactions menu option for "Merge Transactions", or Control-click on the transactions to be shown a menu of options and select "Merge Transactions", or press Command-Y to merge the selected transactions.

Note Note: For transaction values that are set in both transactions, the program will keep the values manually entered instead of the values that originated when downloading/importing the transaction. Any values that were set when downloading/importing the transaction from an institution can still be accessed in the financial institution "FI" values for the transaction, such as "FI Date" and "FI Payee". In the case of merging values that were both manually entered the program will use the value from the transaction that was more recently modified.
